the edge of the knife...

The Democrats may have solved the Florida and Michigan question, but this calls into question former Gov. Howard Dean's capability to lead the DNC. If there was a year that the Democrats should have a landslide, its this one... If Sen. Clinton loses, its projected that 1/3 of her voting bloc will swing to McCain, rather than risk Obama stealing away 2012 as an incumbent in the White House.

The question becomes "will the RNC realize how great the danger is?"
At Cannae, Rome's legions were ambushed by Hannibal and caught in a vise. As a result, 70 out of every 76 men died. Only six thousand escaped with their lives. At Zama, Scipio Africanus defeated Hannibal for good.

Regardless of what happens with Penn. Ave, it could all be unraveled on Capitol Hill. Currently, it is projected to be a 70 seat gain for the Democrats in the House and Lord knows what will happen in the Senate.... But there is a serious likelihood of the Democrats taking control of both houses of congress for the first time in 14 years.

So will it be Cannae or Zama and for whom?
